About Stratafold

Good infrastructure work should leave a team stronger.

Stratafold Cloud Works is a senior-led platform engineering studio helping organisations replace fragile infrastructure habits with understandable, repeatable systems. We bring experienced practitioners close to the work—and leave the capability with the people who own it.

How we work

Four principles. No theatre.

Our work is grounded in straightforward engineering judgement and respect for the realities of operating a product every day.

01 / CLARITY

Clarity over complexity

We choose the smallest useful system and make trade-offs visible, so the platform is easier to explain and evolve.

02 / OWNERSHIP

Automation with accountability

Automation should make safe work repeatable, with clear owners, review points and ways to recover.

03 / OPERATIONS

Operational empathy

We design for the people on call, the people shipping features and the people responsible for assurance.

04 / TRANSFER

Knowledge transfer

Pairing, useful documentation and deliberate handover are part of delivery—not an optional extra.

The people doing the work

A small senior team, close to the details.

Seven distinct disciplines, one shared way of working: candid advice, thoughtful craft and a commitment to make the platform understandable.

Eleanor Hayes, silver-brown-haired woman in a terracotta blazer, photographed in a warm studio setting.

Eleanor Hayes

Managing Director & Platform Strategist

Eleanor started her career in infrastructure operations, where she learned that architecture only matters when people can run it. She helps leadership teams turn a broad technology ambition into choices engineers can explain, test and maintain. Outside client work, she mentors early-career platform practitioners.

Marcus Bell, close-cropped salt-and-pepper-haired man with a neat beard in a charcoal overshirt.

Marcus Bell

Principal Cloud Architect

Marcus has spent two decades designing cloud and network systems for teams with very different scales and risk profiles. He is known for making architecture trade-offs legible instead of hiding them behind diagrams. He enjoys repairing old radios and brings the same patience to untangling complex estates.

Priya Nanduri, South Asian woman with long dark curls wearing a terracotta knit top.

Priya Nanduri

Head of Platform Engineering

Priya builds platform capabilities around the moments that matter to developers: starting a service, making a change and recovering when something breaks. She has led internal platform teams in SaaS businesses and values adoption as much as technical elegance. On weekends she is usually exploring a new walking route.

Daniel Mercer, olive-skinned man with wavy dark and silver hair in a warm gray work shirt.

Daniel Mercer

Site Reliability Engineering Lead

Daniel brings operational experience from high-traffic services, where small reliability decisions become visible quickly. He helps teams design useful alerts, practise recovery and learn from incidents without blame. His favourite work is turning a stressful on-call pattern into a clear, shared improvement plan.

Imogen Clarke, freckled woman with a short auburn bob wearing a dark structured jacket.

Imogen Clarke

Cloud Security & Governance Lead

Imogen works at the point where engineering practice meets assurance. She helps teams shape access, evidence and control design so that security expectations are understandable in the flow of delivery. Her background spans cloud governance and product security, and she is a firm believer in asking better questions early.

Noah Bennett, tan-skinned nonbinary person with short textured curls in a rust overshirt.

Noah Bennett

Developer Experience Engineer

Noah is interested in the small frictions that quietly consume a developer’s day. They combine workflow research with practical automation, then iterate with the people who will use what they make. Before joining Stratafold, Noah worked across internal tooling and application delivery, learning to keep interfaces calm and direct.

Sofia Romano, Italian woman with dark hair tied back, wearing a cream blouse and terracotta scarf.

Sofia Romano

Client Delivery Director

Sofia keeps complex engagements grounded in shared expectations, clear communication and decisions made at the right level. She has coordinated engineering programmes across European and North American teams, with a particular focus on thoughtful handovers. Away from work, she is a keen home cook and collector of well-used recipe books.
